Manitou Asia has signed a new dealership agreement with Sun Earth Co Ltd to distribute the Manitou-branded machines throughout Japan. These comprise telehandlers, articulated loaders, access work platforms, forklifts, skid steer loaders and track loaders.
Sun Earth’s strong reputation and extensive network across Japan, including locations in Tokyo, Hokkaido, Miyagi, Fukuoka, Chiba and Shiga, combined with its deep industry expertise, well-established customer relationships and in-depth understanding of the local market, uniquely positions the company to represent the Manitou brand effectively, said Manitou Asia. Sun Earth’s capabilities will also support the delivery of tailored solutions and high-quality aftersales service to customers in Japan.
“We continue to take on challenges by importing and selling unique, high-performance machines from Europe, with the aim of contributing to the business growth of our customers in Japan,” said Satoshi Abe, CEO of Sun Earth Co Ltd. “We are very much excited to have newly added Manitou’s highly competitive product lineup to our sales range, marking the start of a new challenge.”
Mr Abe added, “We envision that the highly efficient and smooth work systems utilising Manitou’s machines, which we have witnessed at jobsites in Europe (particularly in the installation and construction markets), will become the standard in Japan. By building a solid partnership with Manitou, we are determined to work vigorously toward developing new markets in Japan.”
Bernd Freudenmann, vice president APAC for Manitou Group, further highlighted that “Sun Earth’s profound market knowledge and extensive national reach make them the ideal partner to bring Manitou’s solutions to a wider customer base. Together, we’re committed to delivering not just our leading products, but also superior service tailored to the unique needs of customers in Japan.”
Sun Earth was founded in 2010, starting with the import and sales of shredding machines from Germany in the Japanese market. Since then, the company has expanded its business to include import of machines for construction, stevedoring, forestry and waste management markets, while also taking full responsibility for aftersales service and parts supply.
In addition to its six service offices across Japan, in Chiba Prefecture, Sun Earth operates ‘Kisarazu Machine Park’, which serves as a parts supply hub boasting an inventory of more than 200,000 items, as well as ‘Sun Earth Sorting Lab’– a testing centre for waste sorting machines.
