Genie’s Jim Barr retires, Craig Kittle returns to lead Asia Pacific region

Craig Kittle has returned to Genie as vice president of Asia Pacific, effective 12 August 2022. He takes over from Jim Barr, who retired at the end of June after a 39-year career with the company.

During Mr Kittle’s more than 20 years with Genie and Terex, he held a variety of roles that gave him experience in everything from managing engineering and manufacturing operations to overseeing the implementation of business systems. Most recently prior to his departure, Mr Kittle was the parts & services director in Asia Pacific.

Mr Barr began his career with Genie in 1983 in inside sales and, for the last 14 years, led Genie’s Asia Pacific region as vice president and general manager. His strong customer focus and expert leadership were instrumental in growing the company’s presence in the region.

“Jim’s leadership contributed to Genie’s success in emerging markets in Asia Pacific, as well as Greater China and North America. While we will miss Jim, we wish him well in his retirement, and are pleased to welcome Craig back to Genie,” said Matt Treadwell, Genie vice president of global sales.

“Craig’s knowledge of the Asia Pacific region makes him a natural successor for Jim as we continue to meet the needs of customers across the region with quality equipment, reliable service and strong aftermarket support.”
