The starting gun has been fired for Hillhead 2022, the global quarrying, construction and recycling exhibition taking place from 21 to 23 June 2022 at the Hillhead Quarry near Buxton, Derbyshire, in the UK.
Carried out by EPC-UK, two sections of the quarry face in the demonstration area at the north end of the site were recently drilled and blasted to produce around 30,000 t of run-of-quarry stone for equipment demonstration purposes at this year’s show. After a gap of four years, Hillhead makes a comeback. Organised by The QMJ Group, the show is expected to feature around 600 exhibitors, more than 60 live demonstrations, and up to 20,000 quarrying, construction and recycling professionals.

In 2022, Hillhead will celebrate its 40th anniversary. “Over the past four decades Hillhead has grown to be a show like no other – from the humble beginnings of our very first exhibition held in 1982 at Jackdaw Crag Quarry, to the spectacular and unique experience it is today!” shared The QMJ Group,
