IPAF Asia Conference 2018 set for Kuala Lumpur

The IPAF Asia Conference & Showcase 2018 will take place for the first time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 18 and 19 July. Hosted at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in the city centre, alongside the ASEAN M&E Show 2018, it will provide an opportunity to meet and network with industry colleagues and to gain business insight about the powered access industry, especially in Asia.

The event is organised and run by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). This year, the Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) will be the event co-organiser. The MBAM plays an important role in the development and advancement of the construction industry, with 14,594 members in Malaysia.

The main conference will be held on 19 July, featuring a comprehensive line-up of local and international speakers on a range of different topics, including:
• How New Technology is Driving Safety and Productivity in MEWPs
• Increasing Safety and Productivity with MEWPs
• MCWP for Versatility, Safety and Productivity
• Working Safely with MCWPs and Hoists: Risks Involved and the Importance of Training

In 2017, more than 300 delegates from across Asia and further afield attended the IPAF Asia Conference in Changsha, China – the first one to be held in the country. The event also saw the delegates sign a pledge to equip all operators of boom-type MEWPs with a safety harness.
