Nemetschek APAC Pte. Ltd., part of the Nemetschek Group, a global Construction AI leader and software provider driving the digital transformation of the AEC/O and media industries, formalised MOUs with two of Singapore’s leading institutions of higher learning, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP), to embed AI and digital delivery capability into built environment education and training.
The collaborations come as Singapore’s built environment sector confronts a national push toward digitalisation and AI adoption, a theme set out by the Ministry of National Development at IBEW 2026. Both MOUs address the skills side of that transition, pairing curriculum change with training routes for practitioners already in the field.
"AI and digital delivery are changing how buildings get designed, approved, built, and operated, but the sector cannot adopt what it cannot staff," said Jonathan Ng, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Nemetschek Group. "Transforming the built environment will take industry, government, and education moving together. These partnerships put our software and connected workflows into the hands of students and lecturers now, so that capability enters the industry through every new cohort rather than through one-off retraining. That is how you lift the capacity of a whole sector."
Both partnerships respond to the sector’s evolving needs. As design-and-build programmes increasingly incorporate model-based delivery, automated compliance checking and data-led workflows from design into operations, the MOUs will support capability building on two fronts: enhancing what students learn, and giving existing practitioners a route to the same skills.
ITE and Nemetschek have signed a five-year MOU to strengthen collaboration across all three ITE Colleges, focusing on digital innovation, applied learning, and capability development for the sustainable built environment and creative design sectors.
The partnership will equip ITE students, staff, and adult learners with future-ready skills in digital creative design and visualisation, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD). It will support curriculum enhancement, provide access to selected Nemetschek software, digital technologies, and learning resources, and explore the development of digital labs, demonstration spaces, and technology showcases to support hands-on, industry-relevant training.

Through our partnership with Nemetschek, our students, adult learners, and staff will gain access to industry-relevant tools, learning opportunities, and capabilities that will prepare them for the sectors’ continued evolution,” said Mr Alvin Goh, Principal, ITE College East.
Singapore Polytechnic: AI-assisted compliance and Digital Twin workflows
The three-year MOU with SP’s School of Architecture & the Built Environment, effective 1 September 2026, covers curriculum development across both pre-employment (PET) and continuing education (CET) tracks, student internships with Nemetschek, industry attachment opportunities for lecturers, and co-organised forums, workshops, and learning journeys for students and industry stakeholders.
Training under the partnership will focus on the digital workflows the sector is adopting now, including AI-assisted regulatory compliance, IFC model validation, CORENET X-related submission processes, Smart FM, and Digital Twin applications.

We need to prepare our students for an increasingly model-based, data-driven, and digitally integrated way of working,” said Dr Faris Akbar Hajamaideen, Director, School of Architecture & the Built Environment, Singapore Polytechnic. “Through this partnership, we can also extend these capabilities to our CET learners, helping professionals already in practice keep pace with the industry’s digital transformation.”
The two MOUs follow Nemetschek Group’s strategic partnership with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore), announced in October 2025, to translate advanced AI research into deployable solutions for sustainable construction and design-to-operations workflows.
