Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Malaysia’s first curated interior design exhibition, REKA Interiors Exhibition (RiX) returns by popular demand for its third consecutive year from 17 to 20 October at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, alongside the renowned Home Design and Interior Exhibition (HOMEDEC).

With an increased 30 percent exhibition space featuring 120 stands, the exhibition will see 7,000 industry players and the design fraternity congregating under one roof.

The exhibition is part of the REKA Design Week 2019 (RDW) which celebrates the design and the interior design industry with the REKA Conference and REKA International Design Awards (RIDA) that is an exciting synergy between award-winning exhibitions organiser, C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd (C.I.S), and MIID REKA Sdn Bhd (MRSB) – a subsidiary of the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID). Designed as a multi-sided platform, integrating strategically with several events, this year’s exhibition theme, ‘Bridging Designs to Businesses’, will set to gather exhibitors, professional and emerging interior designers and new industry players to keep abreast with industry developments.

Aimed to showcase the evolving interior design industry and promote design excellence, RiX is curated by an appointed Chief Creative Director and seven renowned Malaysian Designers this year to work with the exhibitors to curate stunning interior designs for the exhibition.

With 120 exhibition stands with the objective to continue building the semi-trade exhibition into a central hub for interior design, products and objects not just for the purpose of design, but for sourcing – RiX will provide great value to exhibitors and the estimated 7,000 visitors comprising of interior designers, architects, developers, buyers, traders, and dealers, and consumers that are expected to throng the exhibition.

RiX this year, will also feature 27 influential designers and thought leaders in two-way discussions on industry hot topics and updates. Towards this, the exhibition will put a spotlight on the latest design trends and best practices for the industry to stay resilient and ahead of a highly competitive global marketplace.

President of C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd (C.I.S), Dato’ Vincent Lim said: “RiX has garnered the attention of industry players because of its unique proposition as a curated exhibition. In addition to being the only design show for the design community in Malaysia, RiX is the bridge which connects the specifier to the supplier and designers to exhibitors.”

“We foresee that RiX will be better compared to last year as it will provide more opportunities for the design community and business to converge. In this new era that is filled with competitiveness, I strongly believe that collaboration and synergy is the key to remain resilient and with that, we must lean against each and everyone’s strength to be at the forefront of the trade race,” he added.

MIID President and MIID REKA Sdn Bhd Director Encik Mohamad Faisal Ghazali shared the same sentiment: “RiX is unlike conventional exhibitions as it seeks to inspire designers and exhibitors while simultaneously encouraging them to place greater efforts on their designs hence making the products (on display) more attractive. It is also an effective platform for designers to showcase their exceptional work and share best practices and knowledge with each other and the Malaysian public at large.”

Purposed to bridge designs to businesses, RiX sets itself as a sourcing gateway for the design fraternity and trade visitors to discover latest products, materials, trends and services – opening opportunities for strategic partnerships, forge networks, business leads and trade prospects between industry players.

This year, RiX will feature some of the following highlights:
