As economic forecasts continue to predict a strengthened 2014 housing market, and with home equity levels on the rise, homeowners are ready to reinvest in their homes. This renewed interest is also bringing several appliance and cabinet manufacturers back to the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). Brands like Electrolux, Viking Range, Merrillat Cabinetry, Poggenpohl and Bertch will exhibit alongside returning manufacturers like Liebherr, True Professional Series and Wellborn Cabinet as part of the industry’s inaugural Design & Construction Week February 4 through 6, 2014 in Las Vegas. The co-location with the International Builders’ Show (IBS) is one of the reasons why many brands are returning to the show.

“We are constantly hearing that designers are time-pressed and do not always get outside their offices for trade shows and educational opportunities,” explained Lori Dolnick, spokesperson for Poggenpohl. “By combining the KBIS and IBS events, it offers them the lure of two shows at the same time – a time-saver for those designers who are interested in seeing new trends, products and offerings across all of the home design categories.”

Poggenpohl is launching several new kitchen concepts and finishes at KBIS 2014 including its new +Edition and Segmento.

When Merillat Cabinetry returns to KBIS 2014, it will be in the middle of its largest product launch ever, featuring the introduction of five new door styles and four new colors for its Merillat Classic product line. Two highlights of this launch include the new Bayville door style with a “pillow-like” edge and a new dark color, Kona on Oak which was developed because of consumers renewed interest in oak.

“Merillat Cabinetry has gone through a complete brand refresh this year that has coincided with large product launches, major process improvements and a renewed focus on our customers,” explained Danielle Mikesell, Marketing Director, Merillat Cabinetry. “KBIS is the perfect opportunity for us to share this exciting time with our customers.”

Also returning to KBIS 2014 is Bertch Cabinetry, a family owned and operated cabinet manufacturer with a commitment to reforestation, recycling and the environment. As a fully integrated US manufacturer, Bertch produces all of its own components and utilizes eco-friendly finishing technology to minimize emissions; even the sawdust is regenerated to produce both heat and electricity.

Some of the most unique appliances and technology in the marketplace will be at KBIS 2014, including the latest in cook tops, refrigerators, dishwashers, and more. Electrolux returns to KBIS with several new appliances including a new Induction Free Standing Range, as well as a new French Door Refrigerator that boasts the industry’s greatest organizational capacity, giving consumers more room to store everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to Thanksgiving dinner.

New and returning exhibitors recognize KBIS as one of the best opportunities to promote their brands, expand their customer base and introduce their products to the greatest number of influential buyers, architects, designers and media all under one roof.

“The newly combined show (Design & Construction Week) allows us to work with a stronger, more influential audience, while also providing a showcase for our latest innovations,” stated Eloise Hale, VP of Corporate Communications, Electrolux North America. “The combination creates a powerful show, rivalling IFA (considered the world’s largest consumer electronics show) in our minds.”
